Due to the intensifying conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the gas energy constraint in Europe, 2/3 fertilizer plants in Europe shut down production, resulting in a shortage of nitrogen fertilizer supply. Fertilizer customers in Ireland, France and Germany turned to China to purchase ammonium sulfate granules and crystals for direct use as nitrogen fertilizer and raw material for compound fertilizer production.
